Vents and Breathers Recommendations

Vents and Breathers are usually equally spaced in two directions over the surface of the roofing system. Industry practice recommends that if vents or breathers are used to relieve moisture trapped within the roofing system, then the Standard vents and breathers are installed at a rate of one per 1,000 sq. ft. of roof surface, and the Large vents and breathers are installed at a rate of one per 1,500 sq. ft. of roof surface. For vents and breathers to be used as attic space ventilators, local codes must be consulted.
